   Do you have gently used household items that are ready for a new home? Your donations can help a family moving into permanent housing get a comfortable, supported start.

     Off The Streets https://otslancaster.org is an all-volunteer organization that helps people referred by local social service providers with security deposits and basic furnishings. The organization is supported entirely by volunteers and donations and does not accept government funding.

     Local partner organizations that work with Off The Streets include Tenfold, Water Street Mission, YWCA, and others.

     Because many people experiencing homelessness have lost most, if not all, of their belongings, Off The Streets helps provide essentials such as beds, dressers, chairs, tables, bedding, household items, and personal care supplies so families can feel more settled in their new homes.

     The Streets is a 501(c)(3) charity, and donations are tax-deductible.

     The Downtowners Resource Committee will be collecting household donations on Tuesday, October 27th.

     Pick-up time: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

At this time, we can accept the following gently used household items:

• Pots and pans (not heavily scratched)
• Sheet sets (twin and full-size only)
• Towel sets
• Bath hand towels (neutral colors)
• Kitchen dishcloths
• Hot pads and oven mitts
• Water glasses (tall and short)
• Crockpots
• Hand mixers
• 2-slice toasters
• Small microwaves (clean, in working condition)
• Vacuum cleaners (clean, in working condition with at least 1 bag)
• Bakeware (cookie sheets, brownie pans, bread pans)
• Ice cube trays
• Kids twin sheets & comforters
• Full-size comforters
• Stand mixers

     Friendly reminder: Please place your items in lightweight bags or boxes whenever possible. Members of the Resource Committee will be happy to pick them up.
