Join us for a tour of the newly opened Thaddeus Stevens and Lydia Hamilton Smith Center for History and Democracy and explore the lives of abolitionist Thadeus Stevens and his partner Lydia Hamilton Smith and the broader American struggle for freedom and equality.
The tour will include a brief introduction by Lancaster History museum staff, followed by a self-guided tour of the museum's sixteen galleries, complete with original artifacts and multimedia presentations. Purchase discounted tickets ($16, regularly $18 or $20) with your event registration.
Following the tour, we will gather in the nearby Southern Market for a refreshing beverage and to share our thoughts about what we have seen.
