Two abstract painters are exhibiting their works at the Lancaster Museum of Art right now. The exhibits are titled Rhythms and Reactions by Jerome Hershey. One Plus One Equals Infinity by Mike Witmer.
The museum will be open just for us to sit with the paintings while practicing meditation or ekphasis. Exphasis, derived from Greek for "speaking out," translates visual images into words, interpreting the art’s meaning or evoking emotional responses. Bring pen or pencil and paper to allow your responses to flow into written words, perhaps a poem or a paragraph or an essay . Or you may want to just sit with the paintings and let them speak to you. Arrive during the first half hour when we will sit in silence, followed by time to share our impressions
Free, but you may bring a donation for the museum if you wish.

Organized by Roberta Strickler and Sylvia Cavanaugh.
