Love Letters, a play by A.R. Gurney, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1988. The play is a two-person drama composed entirely of the letters exchanged between two childhood friends, Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, over nearly 50 years, revealing their lifelong friendship and complicated relationship.
Candace O’Donnell is well-known to old time Downtowners and the Lancaster Community for her performances at the Fulton, Ware Center and other local stages. She may be most notably remembered for her more recent one-woman shows bringing to life Queen Victoria, Sarah Bernhart and Mary Todd Lincoln. Candace will perform with David Dobbins, retired botany professor from Millersville University, to bring us this heart-warming story.
This is an exclusive performance for Lancaster Downtowners but registration is open to all. CMCL is handicapped accessible. There is a lift from the parking area between the main church building and the sanctuary.
Parking is available in the church parking lot on corner of Grant and Concord Streets. Do not park in any spaces marked reserved.
