The folks at Landis Place on King invite Downtowners to join them first and third Tuesdays of the month for Movie Night in Conexion, their second floor gathering place.

Gigi (1958) is an Academy Award–winning American musical romantic comedy film directed by Vincente Minnelli and written by Alan Jay Lerner, adapted from Colette's 1944 novella.

Setting & Plot: Set in Paris during the Belle Époque (circa 1900), the story follows Gilberte "Gigi" (Leslie Caron), a precocious young girl being trained by her family to become a high-society courtesan. Gaston Lachaille (Louis Jourdan), a wealthy, bored playboy, enjoys spending platonic time with Gigi and her grandmother. As Gigi grows older, Gaston realizes he is falling in love with her, forcing them both to navigate the expectations of Parisian society and their feelings for one another.
