Did you know that the Marshall Street Bookstore sells quality used books for all ages at extremely reasonable prices and all proceeds from the sale of these books goes to Lancaster Public Library?

Your Downtowner Resource Committee will come to your house and pick up your donations of gently used books (children, adult, fiction, non-fiction), DVDs, CDs. vinyl records , puzzles and board games.

Tuesday, May 12, 10 am–3 pm. (Rain date, May 19)

Registration deadline, Thursday, April 30

Your donations will be delivered to the Book ReSort located at the Marshall Street store where they will be processed for resale. Here is a great opportunity for you to help to close the gap in public funding our public library needs to carry out their important community mission.

Additional information:

  • Items not accepted include Reader’s Digest condensed books, magazines, VHS tapes, music cassettes and pre-2000 encyclopedias
  • All items in your donation need to be bagged or boxed and in good condition.
  • DT cannot provide a receipt. If you want a receipt, you can deliver your donation directly to ReSort, 225 N. Marshall St., Mondays or Wednesdays, 10 am–12pm.
  • Make sure that your boxed or bagged donations are weight appropriate for the demographic that will be picking them up.
