Enjoy the Pennsylvania countryside while exploring Homefields Care Farm's lush 19 acres during their annual Open House. Take a 1/2 hour Farmer-led tour; visit their greenhouses, bee habitats and beneficial insect hotels; and stop by guest vendor tents placed throughout the property. Homefields Care Farm is a Certified Organic CSA which also houses, employs and offers Nature Crafts classes to members of the disabled community; conducts agricultural research and donates extra produce to local food banks. Downtowner Reena Kazmann, who is a farm volunteer, will tag along and help out as needed. We meet 1 pm at Community Mennonite Church to form carpools.
