This workshop is for anyone in the Downtowner community who would like to awaken their creative side, and might be interested in collage. Book arts encourages participants to explore what makes a book, a book. We will explore book making as an artistic activity, folding single sheets of paper into sculptural book forms, the book will be an object in its own right...and might inspire you to take a longer workshop in the Spring at MU-Ware with Mimi.
You can bring a small envelope of materials that you find inspiring, things that you have saved and did not know what to do with, photos, ticket stubs, collage stuff, bits of lace or buttons. There is always a way to add them to the books or pages that you create. Art making is just fun !
