This year's Medicare Open Enrollment period extends from October 15 to December 7th. Each year, during Open Enrollment, it's important to do a check up on your Medicare and Part D drug plans. This is recommended because your health status, current drug prescriptions, plan coverage, and out of pocket costs may change. 

This year it is even more important to do an informed review. Changes to the most popular Medigap plan (plan F) go into effect January 2020. Seniors are also being blitzed with insurer ads urging them to enroll in Medicare Advantage Plans instead of original Medicare with Medigap supplements.
