Annual Meeting—Program Updates and Original Plays for Lancaster Downtowners
This is the one event that most all members of Downtowners try to attend. We go all out with a wonderful spread of heavy hors d’ oeuvres catered by Gina Fraser. Gina has wowed us for at least the past five years.
After the board brings us up to date on exciting things that have been happening with our organization, we will be entertained with two or three short original plays written by our own Downtowner, Will Horst. The skits will feature hypothetical conversations between retirees like ourselves and their younger children or next of kin. Following each episode, you will have opportunity for discussion with other Downtowners.
Tuesday, November 28, 11:30 am. Community Mennonite Church, 328 W. Orange Street
Aging in Place is OK up to a Point, but Then What?
Lancaster Downtowners and other organizations like ours in the village movement are committed to helping you age in place as long as possible but there may be a need for other options at some point. Downtowner Ellen Berfond has made arrangements with Lancaster Office of Aging to provide a speaker, Kristen Jones, to look at this topic and share some ideas on how we may want to prepare. Bring a bag lunch for this presentation and discussion. Drinks will be provided
